Basic measures and health and safety advice for delivery and incoming packages.
For delivery staff
- Use a face mask.
- Ring the bell and take a few steps back before the door is opened.
- Note down the receiver’s details (full name and ID no.) on your device or delivery note and record delivery, preferably without a signature.
- Place the package in the space provided for this purpose if there is one, or await instructions.
- Keep the safety distance from the person you are dealing with.
- Disinfect your vehicle every day.
- Work alone, with only one person travelling in each vehicle, and disinfect the vehicle every day.
- Wash your hands frequently. This remains the most important advice to keep COVID-19 in check.

- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
- When you cough, cover your nose and mouth with a bent elbow.
For receivers
- Use a face mask.
- Wait a few moments before opening the door to give the delivery person time to step back.
- Bring the package into your facilities or, if you think it is necessary, open it outside.
- Recycle both the packaging and the cardboard box.
- To unpack items, open the package, wash your hands, take out the items, dispose of the packaging and wash your hands again before handling the items.
- Carefully clean the surface on which you placed the package.
- Wash your hands frequently. This remains the most important advice to keep COVID-19 in check.
